Glorieta Mountain | April 2007 |
|
I went to Glorieta Mountain in New Mexico with Bob Haag, Montana Bob, Matt Moran, Greg Hupe, Mike Farmer and several other meteorite freaks.
We spent about a week on the mountain, like a swarm of locusts, detecting up and down the slopes and mesas.
A few smaller specimens were found on day one, but I found the motherlode on day two. 4.83kg, with olivine showing.
On the last day Bob and Greg also found very nice specimens, with a lot of olivine showing.
All in all a very satisfying adventure! |
