I had some meteorites to cut, and Allan Lang graceously agreed to let me use his equipment. So I packed up the family and we went to Herkimer County in new York State for a weekend of rock fun! We looked for Herkimer Diamonds (a kind of quarz), and we found some fossils in Al's quarry. And, of course we tried out every saw that Al had! We cut, ground and polished everything in sight. |
